I Have Not Resigned From NDC – Tawiah Boateng

The former Eastern Regional Chairman for the Opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Mr Bismark Tawiah Boateng, has revealed that he has not resigned in his capacity as a staunch NDC member in the Eastern Region to join the New Patriotic Party as being wrongfully purported in the media.

He therefore charged all to treat such story as misleading, total hoax, complete fabrication and attempt by the conveners to make glanced noise in the country.

Two days after the Vociferous Tawiah Boateng was booted out of power, there have been numerous stories in the media suggesting he has resigned from the party to join the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP, because he feels cheated, not treated fairly in the just ended Regional Election.

However, an aide to the firebrand Chairman has come out to debunk such claims as malicious, factious, and must be treated with the immediate contempt deemed it.

He said Mr Bismark Tawiah Boateng will not grief over his defeat since the elections were meant to bring the party members together to elect their leaders who can lead them to recapture power from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2020 general elections.

Per the information at hand, Radio 1 News can confirmed that Tawiah Boateng is still a member of the NDC.

He urged all the elected executives to work hard to ensure that their dreams of recapturing power from the NPP are realized.

At the end of the Regional Election, John Owusu Amankrah, popularly known as JOWAK polled 373 votes to take over the regional chairmanship position, Tawiah Boateng garnered 281 votes and Basil Ahiable got 241 votes.
