One of the highly respected member of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, who is highly remembered for his ambassadorial role among other portfolios for the nation under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama – led NDC administration, Victor Smith, has hinted to Radio One that he would no longer contest the Parliamentary Seat of Akyem Abuakwah North constituency unless maybe there is a change of mind.

That notwithstanding, he promised to provide all the necessary helps within his reach to help the constituency. He added that whatever help he would provide, would not be limited only to the NDC party members but to all natives of the constituency when he is called upon.

Ambassador Victor Smith made this revelations on Radio 1 FM, 100.7MHZ on Wednesday September 5, 2018 on the Susubiribi Morning Show when he was reacting to claims that he together with Mr Ofosu Ampofo, the 1st national vice Chairman of NDC, and Mrs Mavis Ama Frimpong, former Eastern Regional Minister teamed up to form “operation Tawiah Boateng Must Go” which eventually translated into fruition in the just ended Regional election of the NDC election.

According to Ambassador, there is no truth in the allegations leveled against him and his compatriots since he never had that intention and there was never any move or whatsoever any other trick to pull him down. He said losing election is not pleasant and it might take several days, weeks or months to get over it and for that reason, he blames not him much, rather he urged all to let time heal his wounds, bounce back and support the party to redeem their lost glory.
