The former Law maker for the constituents of Asikuma Odobeng Brakwa in the Central Region of Ghana, Paul Collins Appiah Ofori, popularly known by Ghanaians as P C Appiah Ofori has added his voice to the growing debate as to whether formation of Ghana must be credited to the Big Six or only Ghana’s First President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah.

According to P C Appiah Ofori, Ghanaians should admit that Dr Keane Nkrumah remains the founder of Ghana and September 21 which was his born day must remain as Founder’s Day in rememberance of the late President.

He said though the United Gold Coast Convention was fighting for Independence, their ideological procedures differed from Dr Nkrunah and his CPP members.

He added that even some of the Big Six were against his moves and that the efforts of the CPP brought independence to Ghana and since he was the leader, he deserves every right to be celebrated as the founder of the Peaceful Nation, Ghana.

He reiterated that the up and coming generations must know that Dr Nkrumah really claimed independence for the Nation and must not give in to Akufo-Addo’s mentality of twisting the history of the nation.
