The Eastern Regional Deputy Youth Organiser for the opposition National Democratic Congress, Alhaji Sidi Bello, has revealed that even if it becomes debatable that not only Kwame Nkrumah founded Ghana, it must be Gbedema, Kwaku Baako, Kwadwo Botuo and Casely Hayford and not Arko Adjei and the other members of the Big Six.
Speaking on the Susubiribi Morning Show at Radio 1FM, 100.7MHZ, on Friday September 21, 2018, the vociferous deputy Youth Organiser said in as much as the two parties then, were fighting for independence, at the end of the day, Independence now; Kwame Nkrumah and his CPP were fruitful and credit must be given to CPP alone.
However, if there is a need to honor more than the leader, then those who stood by Dr Nkrumah on the Pollo grounds where Dr Nkrumah declared Independence deserve the recognition. His vice president Gbedema, Casely Hayford, Kwaku Baako, Kwadwo Botuo rightfully deserve that slot not the Big Six.
Alhaji maintaned his stance that Dr Nkrumah really worked hard for the nation, brought independence and must be honored as the founder of the nation.
