Expect More Banter Between Mahama And Bawumia – Political Science Lecturer

A Political Science Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology, KNUST, Dr Abass Mohammed has told Ghanaians to look forward to more Exchanges between the office of the former President John Dramani Mahama and that of the Vice President, H.E. Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as we approach the election year.

He made this revelation on Wednesday October 10, 2018, on the Susubiribi Morning Show on Radio 1FM, when the host of the Program, Captain Kofi Owusu inquired of his views on the ongoing attacks between former President Mahama and Dr Bawumia.

The recent weeks have been weeks of rampant criticisms from the camp of the former and the vice President with respect to governance, Economy, Campaign Promises and competencies in government. The former President who is seeking the opportunity to become the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, when mounts every campaign podium uses the opportunity to criticize the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP’s governance but in most cases directs it to the vice President, Dr Bawumia.

However, Dr Bawumia also does not let the issues die out. He equally response to the various criticisms. The most recent ones being the dreamers, 1D 1F, and the almighty incompetence.

But Dr Abass said though the election year is here, the heated arguments, debates, attacks and calling of names would rise when approaching the election year. He said it is a period in politics where opposition wants to adopt the grounds or strategies the ruling party used to capture power and the incumbent isn’t also ready to be made unpopular, therefore Ghana must look forward to more of the banter than we having now.

He said everyone is ready to challenge the other for the Ghanaian populace to have believe in him and his party.
