Fish Farming Needs Rebranding – Fishermen Association

The National Farmers and Fishermen Association, NFFA, of Ghana seeks to rebrand itself in order to petition the government as to how the farming sector should be handled.

Nene Davis Narh Korboe, Chairman of NFFA in an interview on Radio1fm 100.7 said the rebranding is mainly to rearrange the activities and also launch their strategies to improve as association. He said the government has introduced a lot of policies within the sector, the need for this rebranding.

This rebranding is said to come off on 30^th October 2018, Tuesday at Kumasi where dignitaries like the President of Bank of Ghana, Otumfuo, the chairman of council of state, Parliament select committee of Agric and others.

Mr. Narh also touched on the planting for food when the host asked him what he makes of the policy. He said the policy was initiated to strengthen the farming sector so it’s up  to the farmers to focus on their work and feed Ghanaians which is their job.

The Ghana National farmers and fisherman is made up farmers who have been rewarded in the farming sector and are made of 24,000 members since 1998 till now.

Their responsibility is help farmers and advocate for good policies from the government. They also negotiate with the government on behalf of the farmers.
