The Deputy General Secretary of the Opposition National Democratic Congress NDC,  George Lawson has said, the ruling New Patriotic Party NPP, rode on lies to win the 2016 general election which has put the whole country under a curse.

He said, due to their numerous lies, they are not able to fulfill the promises they made to the citizens.

George Lawson made this revelations on Radio1FM, 100.7HMZ, on the Susubiribi morning show when the host Captain Kofi Kofi Owusu asked his views on the diversion of the $175m in Mahama’s administration and why he chose to maintain his position as the Deputy General Secretary to moving forward.

In his explanation to the above questions, he said, it is not about moving forward rather it’s about how he will position himself in the party to secure power and save Ghanaians from the super incompetence governance of the NPP and president Nana Akufo-Addo.

However, he said, he knows the NPP would say they have been in power for only 2 years but there is saying in our local language that says “Agoro bᴈsɔ a, efiri anᴐpa”, which literally means “Early bird catches the worm”.

According to George Lawson, the NDC didn’t commission any election survey as far as he is concerned, and thereby dismissed the allegations that, they diverted hospital cash to fund election research. He said there were a lot of private and individuals who conducted the election surveys of the party and they are really sure of what they are saying so they should bring them to book.

He concluded by saying, the NPP government are just throwing dust in the eyes of the public to divert their attention from the fake promises they can’t fulfill.
