The Eastern Regional Deputy Secretary for the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Kudjoe Adukpoe has reminded the Vice President Ghana and the entire members of the ruling New Patriotic Party Members that they, as NDC made those Policies and Interventions Permanent.

According to Kudjoe Adukpoe, there were a lot of programs that needed continuations to help subsidize the standard of living in Ghana.

Kudjo Adukpoe on Radio1FM’s Susubiribi morning show on Wednesday October 24, 2018, emphatically stated the numerous social intervention his Party ensured to be permanent and those  genuinely brought by the NDC when they were in power as the vice president demanded.

He said they ensured the continuation of the State Transport Corporation STC, transportation system, Schooling feeding program and National Health Insurance Scheme and many more are some the social intervention measures done by the NDC.

However, he  explained that even though all the policies were introduced by the New Patriotic party but they came to strengthen it or is it the fact that they didn’t change the name as NPP have changed the Youth employment to NABCO?

He said the STC transport system collapsed but when the NDC came to power it gained grounds because it is a good policy but due to the fact that they Maintained the name the NPP thinks is not a social intervention by them.

He said even the National Health Insurance Scheme NHIS, when introduced by the NPP was mutual thus it only worked in the districts but the NDC made it National which can be used anywhere in the country.

Therefore the fact that they didn’t change the names of the policies doesn’t mean it’s not done by them.
