The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Ade Coker has revealed the former First National Vice chairperson of the party Anita De-soso, made her comments out of “election defeat heat”.

He said, it is common to hear one speak out words he/she was not meant to say when defeated in an election, because it is not true that members of the party from the Volta Region did not win positions in the just ended elections.

“…when one looses an election, during the early hours of the defeat some high amount of pressure runs through the stomach, blows in the head, and straight to the mouth…”

He further explained that in most occasions persons who go through such experiences come out to apologize or retract the unfair comments made.

Anita De-soso’s comment came after she lost her contest on the National Organizer position over the weekend at Trade Fair Center.

The First National vice Chair of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was concerned that all aspirants from the Volta Region have lost out in the party’s 9th National Delegates Congress.

Anita De-Soso bitterly lamented it is a cause for worry that “there is no Voltarian amongst the national executives members…”, urging the party to subject the outcome to deep thinking.

Mr. Ade Coker in an interview on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ newspaper discussion also rubbished rumors that delegates were coached to vote against contestants who were Anti-Mahama as addressed in the public domain.

He said the support of every member of the party is needed to help the party achieve its 2020 aim.
