Dumsor Is Not Back And Cannot Be Back Under NPP – Communication Director Assures

The Communication Director for the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP in the Fanteakwa South Constituency in the Eastern Region, Mr George Asiedu, a.k.a. Arafat has confidently stated without mincing words that under the Akufo-Addo – Bawumia led governance there is no way Ghana will return to the enormous Power outages which was christened Dumsor in the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama led National Democratic Congress, NDC administration.
In a studio interview on Radio 1FM, 100.7MHZ on TUesday 27th November 2018, the vociferous NPP communicator told the host of the Show, Captain Kofi Wusu that there is no way his government will sit aloof for the power outages to continue.
According to him the opposition NDC left a huge sum of debts with regards to fueling the plants and also there was controversies between the Nigerian and Ghana which led to the blockage in fuel distribution and that eventually led to the one week power outages that hit the entire Nation. He said the NDC left behind of about GHC 2.8.
Again, he said there have been pragmatic measures in ensuring the mess ends as soon as possible since after yesterday the nation has not experienced the outages.

However, Mr Asiedu added that those experiencing low currents in their areas might also be due to illegal electrification which has increased the load per the area and that the resistant wires are invariably enough to contain the load and therefore advised the general populace to be a little patriotic and have legal connections to avoid the menace.
Meanwhile, the deputy Energy Minister has said the problem is a technical one and urged the nation to exercise patients for their outfit will see to addressing it as soon as possible.
