GETFUND Targets School Infrastructure Development – Prof. Dominic Fobi

The Board Chairman for GETFUND who was also  Education Minister under the Kuffour Regime, Prof. Dominic Kwaku fobi has said that, the $500m that is allocated for the completion of GETFUND project  has targeted school infrastructure that are 30% to 100%  completion thus library, Laboratories, Dining walls, etc. to help improve our education system and the Free education flagship Program.

 

Prof. made this known to Radio1fm 100.7 on the SUSUBIRIBI MORNING SHOW  on Monday, November 05, 2018, when the host, Captain Kofi Wusu asked him of the plans they have for the $1.5bn that is allocated for infrastructure.

According to Prof, All the preparations and plans have already been done and also there have been assessments of projects within the numerous projects that are needed urgently which will bring relief in the education system so the only thing is for parliament to approve the money for them to start work.

However he said is not only the SHS that they have plans for but they also have plans for our tertiary education so that they will not have problem at that level because the student population increase in the senior high Schools.
