Ghana Invests 8bn Into Consolidated Banks – Yaw Buabeng Asamoah

The National Communication Director for the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP, Lawyer Buabeng Asamoah who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Adentan Constituency has said Ghana Invests 8bn into the collapsing banks so as to transform the banks to be on good standing.
Speaking to Captain Kofi Wusu, Host of Susubiribi Morning Show on Radio1FM, 100.7MHZ, on 29th October 2018 he said the NPP is committed to building the nation and that the interest of Ghanaians are put first in Akufo-Addo’s governance.
Reacting to Akufo-Addo’s comments that his government won’t stop borrowing, Lawyer Buabeng Asamoah said their predecessors left huge debts that the had no option than to borrow and settle those debts. Again he said they have to borrow to keep the allowances of trainees going.

However, he was quick to add that the NPP never promised while in opposition not to borrow and that the NDC and a majority are taking the NPP out of context.
Currently Ghana is owing GHC 159bn cedis and the President of Ghana H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said Ghana will still borrow because even United States of America, also borrows.
