The Agric Extension officer of Fanteakwa South, Wellbeck Elorm has said that lack of Agric Personnel in the District is a big Challenge for them which is hindering the Activities of Farmers.

Mr. Elorm made this revelation on Radio1fm 100.7 on Ghana Akuafo  show on Monday 26th November 2018, when the host asked of the challenges they are facing in their District approaching the framers day celebration.

According him the total population in the District is about 4,000 and about 60% of them are farmers but they only have six active extension officers in the District which makes it one extension officer is to 6,020 farmers which is making it difficult for them to render their services to all the farmers.

He said it is not their intention not to render their services as expertise to engage the farmers rather it’s due to the quantum of the farmers so they have to strategize and put the farmers into groups so that they can engage them all.
