SHS Students Don’t Value Agriculture – Paul Amaning

An award winning 40/40 awards Paul Amaning who doubles as the Executive Secretary for Small scale Oil palm Producers has said the youth of the day especially those in the Senior High Schools do not value Agriculture.

 

According to Paul Amaning, Agriculture has a very great influence on the individuals and those who venture in to Oil Palm growing would never lack especially when they grow old.

Speaking on the Susubiribi Morning Show on Monday October 29 2018, on Radio1FM, he told the host, Captain Kofi Owusu that it’s appalling when the nation still imports palm oil to supplement the quantity of Palm oil consumed in the country.

According to Paul, a lot can be generated from oil palm products and commended the PSI project that Ex- President J. K. Kuffour introduced into the country.

He said he has now targeted the Senior High Schools to sensitize the notion on venturing into Agriculture to help individuals and particularly the Youth have interest in Agriculture, Value it and practice it.
