The newly elected National chairman for the largest opposition political party in Ghana, National Democratic Congress, NDC, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has assured the party faithfuls and the general public that in his capacity as the National Chairman together with the other able executives of the party, NDC will win the general election come 2020.

Speaking on Ekosii Sen on Asempa Fm monitored by Radio 1 Newsroom on Tuesday November 20, 2018, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo told the host that through out his tour in the country, there were a lot of Ghanaians who were tired of the hardships in Ghana and were anxiously calling on the come back of the saviour, NDC to rescue them from the torment.

However, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo said it is incumbent on them as Executives of the Party, to help release the general public and especially the NDC from this overwhelming captivity. He said the crop of leaders recently elected are more than capable to work hard to recapture power from the ruling Akufo Addo led New Patriotic Party, NPP.

That notwithstanding, they need to initiate some policies from the branch level to the National level to sensitize the majority of free voters and the dormant party faithfuls in order to amass what would help them win the election. Among the various policies they intend bringing on board, Mr Ofosu Ampofo said, Capacity building would be one of the greatest priority because he discovered in his campaign tour that numerous youth with the exuberance of doing their part in ensuring their betterment of the Party were either helpless or needed more capacity.

According to the NDC National Chairman, he, together with his Executives will re-brand the party to make it look more attractive to enthuse them into joining the party.  He was quick to say that those whose toes have been stepped on and for that matter are bitter, he would find time to visit them, talk things through and make up for the best of the party.

Chairman Ofosu Ampofo used the opportunity to address the grievances of the voltarians who think they are not influentially represented in the hierarchy of the party to exercise patience since the National executive Committee is yet to meet and would take up the matter and address it.

The NDC had an unprecedented National Congress from the 17th of November to 19th November, 2018 to elect their party executives to man the party affairs for the next 4 years. People from the Volta region, particularly, Anita De Soso who lost in her bid to become the National of the Party broke out that they have sidelined the world bank of NDC.
