Asiedu Nketia Only Plays To The Gallery – Nana Obiri Boahen

The deputy national Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Nana Obiri Boahen(lawyer) has siad the general secretary for the major opposition party in Ghana, National Democratic Congress, NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito should not be involved when seriously talking about political issues I that he only plays to the gallery.

 

He said it’s unfortunate characters like Asiedu Nketia are allowed to make impacts in NDC.

Lawyer Obiri Boahen made these statements on BEKYEREMU on Radio 1FM, 100.7MHZ, on Thursday December 6, 2018 when the host, Owurakou Asamoah quizzed him on the amount Asiedu Nketia quoted as the filing fee for NPP prior to 2016 elections.

His response was very straight. “When we are very serious talking about political issues in Ghana, Asiedu Nketia doesn’t come in at all. Let be very honest with you. There are good materials in NDC that can make meaning contribution… He is a no character as i speak. Someone who plays to the gallery?” Obiri Boahen quizzed.

The maverick deputy national Secretary said there are a lot of personalities in NDC aside Asiedu Nketia that can make meaning contributions in politics but can’t imagine why the NDC have kowtowed to Nketia’s ideas.

He refuted the claims made by Mosquito that NPP charged GHC 500, 000 as filing fees for flagbearership aspirants and thinks he must be given such attention.

“and you think that this is a reputable political character whose guilts should be an attendants for discussion…” he added.

Nana Obiri Boahen believes it’s been a deliberate attempt by him and needs no pardon.
