The Deputy Youth Organiser for the opposition NationalDemocratic Congress, NDC, in the Atiwa East constituency, Owusu Agyapong haswaded into the controversial speculations of the big wigs in NPP eyeing Ayawasowest wuogon seat after the demise of the late Emmanuel Kyerematen Agyarko andhas said the elder brother of the late lawmaker and former energy minister hasno locus and chance in vying for that vacancy.
According to him, Boakye Agyarko has exhausted all the avenues he had to venture into current politics after his sack from the energy ministry.
Speaking on BEKYEREMU, a political show on Radio 1FM, 100.7MHZ, on Thursday December 13 2018, he told the host, Owurakou Asamoah that the era and convincing name of Boakye Agyarko is elapsed and for that matter doesn’t deem fit to contest his late brother’s seat.
Meanwhile, the former energy minister, Boakye Agyarko has denied any allegations that he’s contesting that seat.

The maverick NDC organiser believes Boakye Agyarko failed as a minister and his calibre cannot be made to contest the seat in NPP. However, Owusu Agyapong believes come what may, anyone who contests for the NDC will scoop the seat from the incumbency.
Just some few weeks after the demise of the late lawmaker, histwo wives are said to shown interests in wearing the shoes of their latehusband. While others claim they are been pressured by the bigwigs in the partyother factions believe it is not the right time to discuss that since theirlate husband is yet to be buried.The son of the former patriotand founding member of NPP, who double as the duleputy finance minister , Adu Boahenis also said to have shown interest in that seat while John Dumelo is also rumouredto be in the contest.
