Rexford made this revelation to Radio1 News team when they visited the community to know how cocoa farming is going and the challenges the farmers are going through.
According to Mr. Rexford there are 90 registered cocoa farmers in the community and the machines used for the mass spraying available for them are only three which is inadequate to serve all the farmers.

He believes that if government subsidizes the spraying machines as the way he has done to the fertilizers which will enable the farmer to afford, would be of a great help then the normal way of joining the queue for your turn that’s if you are lucky within that three months, if not then the government efforts to ensure improvement in the sector will be in vain. He said if they own the machine, all they would have to do is to get the chemical themselves.
