The Eastern Regional First Vice Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP Alhaji Umar Bodinga cannot fathom why the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, is still lying to their party faithfuls and the entire citizens that the Economy under Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration is hard even as they charge their flagbearer aspirants a whooping GHC 400,000 for filing fees in addition to the nomination form which costs GHC 20,000 totaling GHC 420,000.

He said it is sheer propaganda at its best for them to complain of economic hardships other than that he will not mince any words by saying some crop of people in the Mahama led NDC administration pocketed some state funds for the purpose and advised Ghanaians to wake up to know their deceit.

Alhaji Umar Bodinga made these hard statements on the Susubiribi Morning Show on Radio 1FM, 100.7MHZ on Friday 30th November 2018 when the host Captain Kofi Wusu asked of his perception on the filing fee proposed by the NDC for their flagbearer aspirants.

According to Alhaji Bodinga, the NDC can continue with the series of propaganda but the electorate will expose them. He added that if their General Secretary could confuse them that in 2015, the NPP charged their Flagbearer aspirants GHC 500,000 then NDC must not be taken as a serious party.

Despite the overwhelming criticisms on the ruling NPP government, Alhaji confidently stated that the cost of the filing fee is an indication of a calculated attempt to endorse only one candidate to be their flagbearer.

So far about 13 members of NDC have shown interest in leading the NDC party to capture power in 2020 polls.

However, the outbreak of the filing fee has left some of them still contemplating as to whether to still vie for the position or not.
