The 2 day workshop organised by the non-profiing NGO Farm Radio International from 27th to 28th February 2019 is expected to end today.

The broadcasters from the 5regions (Eastern, Central, Brong Ahafo, Volta and Greater Accra regions) with keen and interest in developing the nation among all the sectors are embracing the theme for the workshop; “Scaling Up Her Voice”.

Farm Radio International’s Scaling Her Voice on Air project addresses two major development challenges in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali and Senegal. The first is food insecurity among small-scale farming communities, particularly women, girls and youth. The second is to empower women as leaders and decision-makers in addressing food security by enabling women’s access to and control over relevant, affordable knowledge, information and communication services and by addressing gender inequality and advancing the rights of women and girls in rural communities.
FRI will build on its experience in Ghana (since 2007), Mali (since 2007) and Burkina Faso (since 2011) to scale up its work in interactive radio (IR) to influence behaviour change, promote skills development, and achieve the ultimate outcome of inclusive and resilient agricultural systems that improve food security, nutrition and income of small-scale women, men and youth farmers as well as their families.
