If I Support A Political Party – Obido Nana Gyasi

A radio presenter and host of Dawohoso on Radio 1FM, 100.7MHZ, Obido Nana Gyasi has also waded into the controversial Political vigilantism and has appealed to all party faithfuls to always make the interest of the nation their first priority.

According to Obido, the country has since time immemorial had party supporters, admirers and faithfuls but the current crop of supporters who pride themselves as party vigilantes are making life uncomfortable, highly unpleasant for a majority of Ghanaian citizens.

He cited the Ayawaso West Wuogon Violence and the attack at NDC party office in Kumasi as evidences to his assertions.

In an interview with Radio 1 News, Obido revealed that supporters of the various political parties must quickly ask themselves series of questions in that the leaders of the parties have children, families and friends who could also become vigilantes but they are religiously and tactically reserved.

He added that if he supports a political party he would support with his mind not his heart.

“I will not support a political party with all my heart. I will however, do that with my mind and head. That one I won’t be too emotional to and quick to hurt somebody when my party is brought to ridicule”- Obido Nana Gyasi said.

However, he advised parents and political mentors to faithfully encourage their mentees and train them on the need to have the nation at heart first before any other engagements.
