Former Ambassador to United Kingdom, UK in the erstwhile NDC administration and a bigwig in the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC has revealed that his party, NDC was poised at improving the infrastructural development but Ghanaians did not understand and voted them out.

He again revealed that the ruling party is suffering to reach a target where everyone would be convinced of delivery.

In a studio interview on the Susubiribi morning show on Radio 1FM 100.7MHZ on Wednesday February 20,2019, Ambassador Victor Smith told the host, Captain Kofi Owusu that the NPP has failed the Nation but he as a patriot will not jubilate because things are not going well. He  said he chooses Nation over his party i.e. Nation first.

“If NDC had not built schools, the free SHS led by the President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo would have been in limbo. We were constantly looking at improving the development of infrastructure in the country”, Victor Smith said.

According to him the Akufo-Addo – Bawumia led NPP is confused and rushed into implementing policies and that is how come there is hardship in the country.

However, he revealed that inasmuch as  he is in opposition and things are not going on well, he will be much happier if things could turn around  and go well for the country. He added that the nation is the ultimate in that he seeks for the progress of the nation first before the party he affiliates.
