The probability of shutting down New Nsutam Senior High Technical School, NSUTEC in the Fanteakwa South District in eastern region in the next 2 weeks is highly over 98% as shortage of water hits the school.

Students in this noble school walk miles and run races into the community to fetch water for bathing before they can go to their various classes to study.

According to sources within the school, it was revealed to Radio1News that some of the students have to cope with the situation and manage to bath 3 times in the whole week.

Again, the school has abandoned their water closet toilet facility due to the water shortage and the problem has increased and created an irresistible stench in the school which when care is not taken would promote the spread of communicable diseases among the students.

The school had 3 boreholes, one mechanised and the other two manual. The two manual boreholes are faulty as the only mechanised one is connected to the kitchen.

However, the numerical strength of the school has increased due to the free SHS flagship program and the students can not depend only on the one borehole to survive and it is heavily affecting their studies.
