The youth Organiser for Atiwa East Constituency on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC Mr Owusu Agyapong who is affectionately called Tekaa by his constituents has also waded into the brouhaha of the Emile Short’s Commission and has described it as a total waste of time, money and resources.
According to the vociferous young politician, he can’t fathom why in broad day light and visible videos to confirm and support the brutalities at Ayawaso west Wuogon by-election demands another waste of money on a commission of inquiry who would be taking home huge sums of per diem.
In a studio discussion on Radio 1FM 100.7MHZ on Friday 8th March 2019, at a time the commission was bringing it’s sitting to a close, he told the host, Nsɛmpakani Nana Kwabena Addo Papabi on the Susubiribi morning show that government is wasting a huge sum of money on this inquiry which of course could have been used for other purpose for the betterment of all than on the commission.
According to him, there are palpable evidences to proof beyond lies that the perpetrators of the violence could be apprehended, charged and punished due to social media and the tremendous works of the journalists.

“Nana, you journalists did a great job. You circulated videos of the incidence which clearly showed the people brutalising others. They are complaining we don’t have money in the country so that money to give as per diem to the commission could be used for other purposes. It is a total waste of money, time and resources”, Owusu Agyapong aka Tekaa fumes.
He again added his displeasure on the kind of violence meted out to the electorate on the 31st of January 2019 at the same by-election where one electorate stands a chance of losing the leg due to gunshot and accused the state security of irresponsible work done.
“Nana, as I speak with you, one of the electorate is at a point of losing one leg just because he went to exercise his constitutional mandate to vote for a representative at Parliament in his constituency. State securities opened gunshots on him and now look at his state”, Owusu Agyapong bemoaned.
The Emile short commission was constituted and inaugurated by the Vice President of the republic of Ghana, H.E. Dr Bawumia shortly after the Ayawaso by-election violence to probe the violence. They were given one month to look into the brutalities.
