Hon. Kwabena Amankwah Asiamah, NPP member of Parliament for the constituents of Fanteakwa north in the eastern region has waded into the controversies surrounding ending vigilantes in Ghana and the immediate demand from the minority in Parliament to the President of Ghana to resign based on the exposé of Militia in the heart of the Nation by Manasseh Azure of Joynews.
According to him, the president of the nation does not need the services of the vigilantes for protection when he has all the security agencies at his command.
In a phone interview with Captain Kofi Owusu on the Susubiribi morning show on Radio 1FM 100.7MHZ on Monday March 11 2019, he stated that the nation must focus on the kidnapping issues in Ghana than the minority calling on the president to resign based on what he thinks is not the most priority of the nation.
“We must concentrate on the kidnapping issues. We don’t use the vigilantes to arrest kidnappers and why would the president of Ghana train vigilantes to protect him whiles he has control over all the security agencies. I think we need to concentrate on how to stop kidnapping and end vigilantism,” Hon. Amankwah Asiamah advised.

He added that Ghanaians should call the bluff of the minority call on the president to resign.
However, he revealed that starting tomorrow there is going to be a comprehensive work on the Begoro town roads among building of schools and other facilities for the development of the constituency.
