Hon. Kojo Ofori-safo, Municipal Chief Executive MCE for Abuakwa South Constituency has disclosed that politics is not about engaging each other with matchets and logs but with ideas and therefore a reason for organising a football match between NPP and NDC on 6th March 2019, to promote unity among themselves.
He revealed that the president of the nation H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is championing nationwide peace and he being his representative in the president’s hometown must also set example as benchmark for others to follow.
In a phone interview on the Susubiribi morning show on Radio 1FM, 100.7MHZ on Thursday, March 7 2019, he told the host Nana Kwabena Addo Papabi that this would not be a nine day wonder but would be a continuous process of elevating hatred, anger and violence in the municipality.
He again added that after engaging the executives of the opposition NDC, they have called for rematch on 1st May, 2019 after NDC losing yesterday’s match by 3 goals to nil.

Hon. Ofori-safo called on all and sundry to be tolerant to each other but playfully said the 3 nil signifies NDC will still lose in the 2020 elections yet called on them to contact him for his services when the need be.
However, he acknowledged the leaders of the NDC for their understanding and also the first vice Chairman of NPP in eastern region, Alhaji Umar Boudinga, for gracing the program.
