The queen mothers in the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional council in the eastern region are having a cooperative training program today, 9th March 2019 at the state hall in eseho – Kyebi.
The theme for the program is dubbed ‘Women Empowerment Through Cooperative Societies’ and this program saw the presence of a majority of the queen mothers in the Akyem Abuakwa land.
This is one of the initiatives of the Okyeman women empowerment Program, OWEP, headed and founded by the queen mother of Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area, Okyenhemaa, Nana Adutwumwaa Dokua was fully attended by a majority if the queen mothers of the land .
Towns that represented include: Asuom, Bomaa, Kyebi, Muoso, Apedwa, Anyinam, Gyampomani, Dome, Apapam, among others.

There are also representatives from MASLOC and national Cooperatives of Ghana.
However, Ahenenanahemaa, Nana Akosua Buou is also a integral member of the program.
