Easter: Let’s live in harmony to make Ghana prosperous – Bawumia

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has charged Ghanaians to live in harmony in order to ensure the country’s socio-economic development.

Dr. Bawumia made the remark in a Facebook post to wish the citizenry well on the occasion of Easter.

He encouraged all Ghanaians to continue to pray for the country, live in unity with one another and do their best to help make the country a prosperous one.

“My family and I wish our Christian brothers and sisters a happy Easter. As you commemorate this special festivity which marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we encourage all to continue to pray for the country, live in harmony with one another and do our best to help make Ghana the cherished land we all wish to live in. We wish everyone happy holidays. May God bless our homeland Ghana.”

Our collective prayers and energies will spur Ghana on – Nana Addo<

President Nana Akufo-Addo also wished Ghanaians well as they celebrate Easter.

According to the President, the mobilization of the collective energy and prayers of Ghanaians will be enough to spur the country on to greater achievements in the future.

In his Christmas message to Ghanaians, the President reiterated his belief in his Government’s mantra of a Ghana beyond aid.

He reaffirmed his belief in the potential of the country to be self-reliant and capable of generating prosperity for all

“With mobilization of our collective energy and prayers, I am confident we will move this nation to where she has to be; a Ghana beyond aid, a modern self-reliant nation capable of generating prosperity for the mass of her people and govern according to the rule of law and respect for human rights and the principles of democratic.”

The President is his message also quoted parts of the Bible which read; “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will heal their land.” 2nd Chronicles 7:14.
