Asiakwa Security; There Are Only 4 Police Personnel At Asiakwa Police Station, Beef Up Their Number – Chief Appeals To Government

The regent for Asiakwa in the Abuakwa South municipality, Nana Kofi Asomaning bemoans the insecurity state at Asiakwa and appeals the president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the member of Parliament and the municipal chief executive to as a matter of urgency beef up the personnel of the police in the community to help ensure the safety of the residents.

According to him, there are only four (4) police personnel providing security for over 20,000 residents which he thinks is not appropriate.

In an interview with Radio 1 News, the chief , Nana Kofi Asomaning, reveled that the barracks can still accommodate additional police personnel.

“First, our security in this town is shaky, there are only 4 Police personnel in this town who provide security for about 20,000 indegenes aside foreigners. I appeal to the president, MP and MCE to help add more to them because the 4 is not enough,” Nana Kofi Asomaning posited.

He used the opportunity to advise parents and guardians not to leave their their children astray. He urged them to constantly speak with them, advise them to help straighten their future.

Recently, six teen youth of Asiakwa are reportedly to have slain an RME teacher at the Asiakwa Salvation Army basic school and are in kyebi police custody awaiting trial.
