Breaking News(Video); Residents Of Kɔte Yɛ Aboa, Ɛtwɛ Nim Nyansa, Hwowa Yɛ Mmɔbɔ and 22 Communities Get Electricity

It was joyous and unending jubilation when residents of Kɔte Yɛ Aboa, Ɛtwɛ Nim Nyansa, Hwowa Yɛ Mmɔbɔ and 22 other communities in the Birim North District, were moved onto the national grid for the first time.

It will be recalled that barely a year ago, the member of Parliament for Birim North district, Hon John Osei Frimpong was heard at the floor of Parliament presenting to the house some communities in the district that lack electricity.
His presentation went viral both nationally and internationally and the then minister of energy, hon. Boakye Agyarko also did his thorough investigation and justified the presentation.

However, on Friday the 17th of May 2019, history was made as the hon. Member of Parliament for Birim North District, John Osei Frimpong called on all including Radio 1 to help him commission these projects.
Below are the 25 communities that were moved onto to national grid;
Bramkrom, Addokrom, Amanfokrom, Kɔte Yɛ Aboa, Ɛtwɛ nim nyansa, Hwowa Yɛ Mmɔbɔ, Domeabra, Bepotuntum, Obohema, Dodoworaso, Asuabena, Botwekrom, Teimuni, Kuntenase, Asarekrom, Papa Doku, Atta Yaw, Dagadu, Alhaji, Yaw Agyeman, Agya Thomas, Osei Yaw, Oseikrom, Abena Tewia, and Yaw Broni, all in the Birim North district.

The residents appreciated the help of the MP and the District Chief Executive. The duo were accompanied by all the constituency party executives, the deputy minister of energy in charge of power and MP for Afigya Kwabre in the Ashanti region, Hon. Owuraku Aidoo, the management of PDS, the 2nd eastern regional vice chairman for NPP, the E/R secretary for NPP among other party faithfuls and supporters of the projects.

Various chiefs and subchiefs of the community and representatives from Akyem Kotoku traditional council also graced the program.

Like Oliver Twist, always ask for more, residents asked for durber grounds, motorable roads, jobs and the likes that would help them enjoy their stay in the community.

However, hon. John Osei Frimpong promised to caryy their pleas to the necessary quarters to be addressed and also urged those communities who still do not have electricity to be patient for their time will also come.
