Outspoken Broadcast Journalist with Accra-based Adom FM, Captain Godsbrain Blessed Smart popularly called Captain Smart has lashed out at the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for failing woefully in the corruption fight after promising to jail corrupt officials of the erstwhile administration.
Captain Smart said tough actions are needed to prosecute corrupt government officials and public servants to serve as deterrent to others.
He warned the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to watch out as a section of the Ghanaian populace have lost hope in his administration adding that being fluent in the English language does not win elections.
In his view, majority of Ghanaians are going through hardships whiles some of his appointees are seriously amassing wealth at the expense of the state.

Captain Smart charged the President to walk the talk adding that 2020 elections is just around the corner and the NPP will bite its tongue if the right things are not done.
The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on several platforms has promised to ensure that his appointees do not dip their hands in the State coffers.
But the hopes of the President has been dashed as some of his appointees have been accused of engaging in corruption activities.
In an attempt to fight corruption, the President appointed Mr Martin Amidu as the Special prosecutor but the latter is yet to prosecute any corrupt officials whether current or former.
The Special Prosecutor who is yet to go to court with any corrupt case has for some months been criticized by the public including the leadership of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for not meeting the expectations of Ghanaians, a move Captain Smart described as ‘laughable’.
According to him, the attempts by the Communication team of NPP to have update from Mr Amidu indicates that the government has failed the corruption fight fearing the Office of the Special Prosecutor will be a waste if measures are not put in place.
The Broadcast Journalist said the NPP is at a loss as to why the Mr Amidu is not working.
‘It’s laughable for the NPP communications team to question Martin Amidu on what he’s up to, is CPP government in power now, ‘ he asked.
He blasted the NPP and Mr Amidu for failing to meet the public and anti-graft groups’ expectation of prosecuting current and former government officials who are perceived to have embezzled State funds.
