A Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide, has assured that the security services are seriously working to rescue the kidnapped Takoradi girls.

The assurance came after the two Canadians, who were kidnapped in Kumasi last week, were rescued in the early hours of Wednesday, June 12.

The swift rescue of the two Canadian women who were kidnapped by unidentified gunmen in Kumasi within a week has raised questions and suspicions as to why the three Takoradi girls kidnapped between August and December last year have not been rescued as yet.

A team of investigators from the United States of America (USA) and the United Kingdom (UK) have been in the country, assisting the Ghana Police Service to search for the three girls but have since been unsuccessful.

But speaking in an interview with Onua FM’s Yen Sempa hosted by Bright Kwasi Asempa on Wednesday, Mr. Hadzide said: “I know the security agencies are working seriously on the Takoradi kidnappings”.
