Manasseh Azure Resigns From Multimedia Group, Feels Betrayed

The renowned investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni, has reportedly resigned from the Multimedia Group, sources close to JoyNews have revealed that, the resignation of the multiple award winning investigative journalist follows an apology from the Multimedia Group to President Akufo-Addo and the Government over the controversial documentary titled ‘Militia in the heart of the nation’ which he worked on.

The investigative piece produced by Manasseh Azuri Awuni and aired on the JoyNews channel in March 2019 suggested that a militia group with links to President Akufo-Addo had been conducting its training and was operating from the former seat of government – the Osu Castle in Accra.

This aroused a lot of controversies in the nation thereby leaving the ace journalist with no other option than to go in hiding as many Ghanaians believed that particular investigation reduced his reputation in journalism and that of his employers.
