Anas Has Weakened Institutions In Ghana – Kennedy Agyapong

Businessman and politician, Kennedy Agyapong never cease to fire shots at the ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas at the least opportunity following the fallout from the Number 12 exposé.

The Assin Central lawmaker is of the view that Anas Aremeyaw Anas has weakened institutions in Ghana with his exposé on “Judiciary Corruption”.

“Whoever contracted Anas to investigate judges has weakened the institutions in Ghana”, a lawmaker and an ardent critic of the celebrated journalist, observed in a video of an interview he granted an online radio station in Holland sighted by MyNewsGh.com.

“Ask Anas why he took the goats and sheep back after he claims to use them to bribe the judges…Anas forcibly put a goat in a car belonging to judge and take a picture of it without the knowledge of that judge and tell us that judges receive goats”, He wondered.

It would be recalled that 22 High and Lower Court judges captured by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, in audio and video recordings in 2015, showing them collecting bribes from litigants.

More than 100 members of staff of the Judicial Service were implicated in the judicial corruption scandal that rocked the country at.

Seven High Court judges were suspended and five – Justice Kofi Essel Mensah, Justice Ivy Heward Mills, Justice John Ajet-Nasam, Justice Ernest Obimpeh and Justice Francis K. Opoku – were later sacked in June 2016 based on the advice of the Judicial Council.
According to the NPP lawmaker, not only has the journalist destroyed Ghana’s institutions, Anas Aremeyaw Anas is also clean same as the persons he accused them of being corrupt.

“My problem is that while he is doing his so-called investigations, he is also weakening the institutions just to amass wealth for himself”, he alleged
