MTN MoMo @10; Banking Made Easier, Brought To Your Doorstep – Manager

As part of MTN Ghana commemorating the 10years anniversary of MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) services in Ghana, the Manager, General Trade South East, Mohammed T. Yakubu has revealed that it is evidently clear that MTN mobile money transactions has brought banking to the door steps of Ghanaians and made easier especially to their cherished customers in the past 10 years of MoMo services in Ghana.

In an engagement with the heads of media in the Eastern region (Koforidua) on Wednesday July 17 2019, Mohammed T. Yakubu acknowledged the services the telecommunication offer to its customers.


He revealed that MTN Momo has tremendously hit and contributed to government’s long term policy of promoting banking as well as fulfilling the cashless agenda.


The introduction of MTN MoMo has helped and made transactions easy and convenient he said.

”Looking at the landscape when people had to travel from North to South to engage in trade activities… at times they were robbed and bungled but introduction of MTN Momo has paved way for such monies to be kept on wallets and sometimes financial transactions are made for goods to be delivered,” he stressed.

He also stated that the MTN MOMO was not meant solely for financial transactions but purchasing of data, airtime among other offers.

When quizzed as to how to secure a MoMo promotion from fraudsters, he said users must protect their pins, users should not also entertain calls and sms and in case such occurrences befalls them they should use the various outlets for confirmation before reacting.
