Eastern region has a lot of recreational centers but one distinct recreational area to go in the the eastern region is Aboretum at Bunso in the Abuakwa South Municipality.
The manger of the unique area, Mr Eric Asare has disclosed that aside the Canopy Walkway, there are about 610 species of trees for nature tour in the specified area.
He made these revelations on “Our Land, Our Future”, an environmental program on Radio 1FM, 100.7MHZ on Tuesday August 6 2019 when quized by the host, Oppong Kyekyeku as to whether there is any other thing to look out to at Aboretum.
He later disclosed that there are plans underway to put up a well mordenised Children’s park, Zoo, chalets and other facilities to enrich the environment.

Moreover, he entreated Ghanaians, foreingners, near and beyond to patronize Aboretum and make it their second home in order to be familiar with the unique area and give testimonies of it.
Mr Eric, however, promised Aboretum would see a face-lift in the next one since there are already projects ongoing especially giving the entrance a very good uplift.
