ABUSE OF INCUMBENCY: NPP coordinator Hijacks Refuse Container, Denies a Whole Community Place Of Dumping Refuse

One Foster Duah who happens to be the NPP cordinator for Akyem Nsutam in the Fanteakwa South District in the eastern region is reported to have used his position as a party coordinator and a government appointee at the Fanteakwa South district assembly to hijack one refuse container that serves the residents of Community 4 in Akyem Nsutam.

According to information gathered by Radio1News, Duah Foster lives in Community 1 and the community has a refuse dump but Mr Duah has ordered that the refuse container at community 4 be moved to his area, some few walks from his house and so has it been.

About a week ago, Mr Duah told Radio1News that he has ordered that the container be moved back to community 4 but till now, the container still remains there.
Again, sources within the town have disclosed that Mr Duah claims he is also a government appointee and for that matter cannot be intimidated by anybody.

However, the assembly member of the area, hon. Eric Bosompem also disclosed that he has informed the environmental officer in the district and awaiting a response from him.

Community 4 residents now have no option than to use bushy areas as dumping sites which are against the will of the residents.

The President’s vision of making Ghana the cleanest nation in Africa seems to be stampeded by his party supporters and therefore must have critical look at.
