E/R NPP: 15 Parliamentary Aspirants To Be Vetted Today, Primaries Slated For 28th September – Jeff Konadu

The eastern regional secretary for the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP, Mr Jeff Konadu has revealed that today, 13th August 2019 is scheduled for vetting of Parliamentary aspirants and the primaries slated for 28th September 2019 in all the six orphan constituencies.

According to him, 15 aspirants are ready for the vetting today.

He made these revelation on the Susubiribi Morning show on Radio 1FM, 100.7MHZ on Tuesday August 13 2019 when the host Nana Kwabena Addo asked of the preparation so far with regards to the orphan constituency primaries.

Moreover, the able secretary said the 15 aspirants from the 6 orphan constituencies comprise of;

Afram Plains North – 2, Afram Plains South – 2, Upper West Akyem – 4, Yilo Krobo – 2, Lower Manya – 2, Asuogyaman – 3

However, he revealed that when anyone frowns on the decisions made by the vetting committee, in asmuchas they don’t expect such to happen, provisions are made for that person to appeal to the disciplinary committee to iron out issues.

He again said after a successful vetting, the party would hold a constituency delegates conference in the constituencies to elect a candidate that would help them add up to the seats they have in the region.

Out of the 33 constituencies in the eastern region, NPP holds 27 seats and are poised at adding up to the 27 seats.
