ERMEA 2019; Radio 1 Ghana 100.7FM Bags Home 3 Enviable Awards

The third edition of the Eastern Region Media Excellence Award (ERMEA 2019) saw Radio 1Ghana 100.7fm winning three enviable awards despite having numerous equally reputable radio stations and personalities in the region.

The listeners of radio stations in the region acknowledged the talents, exclusive programs and prudent personalities in Radio 1 which eventually helped them win 3 awards on the night of August 17 2019.

Offei Wonuanie, known in the industry as Mr King, won the entertainment show host of the year. And it was not surprising at all because anyone who has ever listened to his program, Entertainment Today would admit that he long deserved.

Another enviable award which was won by Nana Kwabena Addo Papabi, the news editor. That is the best bulletin reader of the year. And of course no other person in the categories well deserved it than Nana Kwabena Addo. With his soothing voice on the airwaves and the ability to use his experience in reading out credible, accurate and timely news on the airwaves speaks it all that Nana Kwabena Addo is second to none.

Another well deserved and long overdue is the Blogger of the year award won by Michael Agyapong Agyapa. This slot was fiercely contested as equally acknowledged personalities were in the race. However, it bestowed on readers, listeners, and audiences to pick the chief editor of Ghanacelebs.com, Michael Agyapong Agyapa to win such award. Ghanacelebs.com is inarguably one of the most visited sites in our country and produces credible, accurate and interesting stories of our time.

In all, 21 Personalities were awarded and some other Ten were honoured with Special Acknowledgements.

14. Morning Show Host of the Year – Nyame Beye Srasraku, Okyeman FM
15. Drive the Show Host of the Year – Papa Attitude, Rite FM
16. Promoter of the Year – Dabrehene, Life FM
17. Uncovered Personality of the Year – F-King , Joy Dadi Multimedia
18. Producer of the Year – DJ Flow, Kingdom FM
19, Most Valuable Personality – Akwasi Amoah Nyamekye, Okwawu FM
20. Entertainment Show Host of the Year – Offei Wonuanie, Radio 1
21. Station of the Year- Life 98.7 FM, Nkawkaw.
