An eastern regional communication team member for the largest opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC in Ghana, Francis Adenyo-Ableode has confidently stated that the Akufo-Addo led ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP has lost focus on governance and has only turned to naming institutions after their Godfathers and cohorts.

According to him the NPP instead of building a strong economy to reduce poverty and hardship in Ghana, they are now renaming institutions and changing the nations history.

In a studio discussion on the Susubiribi Morning Show on Radio 1FM, 100.7MHZ on Tuesday August 13 2019, he told the host Nana Kwabena Addo that apart from changing the holidays and names of institutions as NPP is noted for, they are doing virtually nothing in the country.

“NPP has lost focus. They are now changing names of institutions and renaming them after their Godfathers”, Francis Adenyo-Ableode said.

The Atiwa East communicator started with naming of Flagstaff house, UDS, Ho Technical University to the current renaming of University of Energy and Natural Resources named after the late Dr Kofi Abrefa Busia.

He therefore appealed to government to concentrate on good governance instead of twisting governance to naming of institutions after their cohorts.
