Abuakwa South: Kyebi XI Beats Okyeman United 2 Nil To Win MCEs Gala

Okyeman United, though exhibited skillful play in the football gala, lost to their counterpart, Kyebi XI on Friday September 27 2019 to win Hon. Kojo Ofori-safo’s (MCE’s) tournament.
The tournament which featured 4 teams namely: Kyebi XI, Okyeman United, Apedwa team and that of Apapam on Friday 27th September 2019 at Kyebi Oman park, saw curtain raiser match between Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly vs Kyebi MTTD where the Assembly lost woefully.
It was the intention of the hardworking MCE to engage his constituent particularly the youth and to assure them his readiness to serve them anytime they need his service.
The games though were marred with little rainfalls, the enthusiasm exhibited by all the teams made the day very exciting, memorable and enjoying.

Apedwa team was fourth while Apapam placed third. Even that, they were all rewarded.
The final game was between Okyeman United and Kyebi XI and while ball eyes were on Okyeman United, Kyebi XI surprised everybody and gave them 2 unanswered goals to win the trophy.
This is not the first time Hon. Kojo Ofori-safo has organised such a tournament. Few months of assuming office as the Abuakwa south MCE, he organised a match between the NPP youth and NDC in the same constituency.
According to him, football brings unity and as a unifier and father for all, he believes through football, some scores would be solved if not all.
