Fanteakwa South: Giving Hope To The People, Thousands Benefit From Dr Amaning’s Livelihood Empowerment Program

If Fanteakwa south district would get a few like him, poverty and unemployment rate in the district would soon go extinct.

A great man and very influential in Fanteakwa south district, Dr Amaning Danquah organised a 5 day intensive, very timely and well patronised livelihood empowerment program for women and youth in the district.

The program that span across all the communities in the district began on 27th August 2019 where hundreds of participants gathered at Osino Tennis court for this training. There they were trained in making multipurpose liquid detergent, Beaded slippers, Hair Cream and bridal fan. On this same day, residents of Nsuapemso and Nsutam learnt Shampoo, pomade, multipurpose liquid detergent and bridal fan making.

On the 28th August 2019, Residents of Dwenase, Abompe and Gyampomani converged at the durbar grounds at Dwenase and they were also schooled in multipurpose liquid detergent making, hair food (Pomade), Bridal fascinator, and making ear rings. This particular one was very overwhelming as it saw the patronage of a lot of men.

The 3rd day of the program also came off at Akyem Hemang durbar grounds and was the second most participated in the 5 day program as residents from Dome and Hemang came in their numbers to learn something for their living. In fact, the participants made the program a one to be remembered as they were taught multipurpose liquid detergent making, shampoo, bridal fan, and pomade.

On the fourth day, Residents of Bosuso and Adjeikrom had their share in the morning from 8:00am to 5:00pm even though it was expected to end at 1:00pm at Bosuso as they were also taken through Shampoo making, multipurpose liquid detergent, bridal fan, bridal fascinators and beaded slippers. The unprecedented and first ever program in the area beat their minds and asked for God’s blessings and protection for the organisers.
In the afternoon, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, residents of Saamang and Juaso communities also converged at Juaso durbar grounds where they were also taught multipurpose liquid detergent making, pomade and beaded slippers. It was all joy over there; work and happiness as people call it.

On Saturday, 31st August 2019, the program which seemed never to end finally got to the climax at Ehiamankyene Epicenter where residents of Bepoase, Nkankama and Ehiamankyene gathered to be taken through how to make Fresh yoghurts, multipurpose liquid detergent, beaded slippers, shampoo and ear rings. This was the most attended session in the 5 day program.

It would interest you to know that some people including foreigners travelled all the way fro United States of America to partake in this training.

Concurrently, Maritopes Ghana used the opportunity to educate the women the need to plan their birth. Their representatives gave the women several family planning options. This was a starter in all the sessions before the actual training.

Dr Amaning Danquah, undoubtedly is the philanthropist of our time and his actions and inactions always turn to empowering the youth, educating the young and giving hope to the aged.

Not only is he noted for this but also has done a lot to uplift the edifice of Osino health center, providing free health screening for the residents in the district and taking care of over 100 hairdressing apprentices, also in the district.

Dr Amaning is not done yet and has promised not to leave any community in the district out of his benevolence and for that matter has slated 7th September for Free medical outreach for residents of Bosuso and Adjeikrom at Bosuso.

Dr Amaning Danquah is a proud native of Osino and doubles as the deputy registrar in charge of operations at the Ghana Pharmacy Council.
