Osino Health Center: Dr Amaning’s Capacity Building Workshop For Midwives Ongoing

Midwives in the Fanteakwa South district in the eastern are currently in a capacity workshop at the Osino Health Center, courtesy Dr Amaning Danquah.

The all important program is aimed at equipping the midwives in the district the technical know hows in handling pregnant women and nursing mothers.

The workshop currently is very engaging as resource personnel from Marie Stopes Ghana are taking them through a lot of dynamisms in the work field.

The Clinical Training Manager, Gertrude Nettey – Marbell and the social marketing coordinator, Martin Gakpetor, all of Marie Stopes are taking time to dive deep into the concerns in the midwifery raised by both pregnant women and the midwives on duty.

In all 18 attended the program and it’s really very engaging. The host and physician assistant of Osino Health Center, Daniel Derby has given a serene environment for the progress of the program.

Research has however revealed that, training of this calibre only takes place at the regional level and this happens to be the first time the district has witnessed it in their own home.

Dr Amaning Danquah is noted for being kind and generous to people especially his homeland. He is a native of Osino and now the deputy registrar in charge of operations at the Ghana Pharmacy Council.
