Bunso Junction: Lorry Station Floods, Turns Into Washing Bay After Downpour

Taxi Drivers of Bunso junction are devastated as they woke up this morning to find their station taken over by flood.

In an interview with the branch Chairman, Mr Assimeng, he revealed to Obido Nana Gyasi of Radio 1News that the downpour yesterday which lasted for over 4 hours could not drain through the gutters as the covets are blocked by heaps of sand left in by the contractor since 2016.

A driver, Kwame Asante known at the station as Abotrɛ also was worried since they would have no place to go in case it is to rain again especially this morning.

However, an eyewitness, a carpenter by name Uncle said it all started around 5:30pm yesterday when the water was bouncing back and gradually has overtaken the station. He therefore appealed to government and other entities to come to their aid in other to prevent such occurrences in the near future.

They disclosed that attempts to get the assembly notified via phone calls has not been successful.
