The minister for chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Hon. Kofi Dzamesi has disclosed that the paramount chief of Akyem Abuakwa traditional area, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin II has branded his kingship and subordinate chiefs to be very attractive to the extent that everyone wants to become a chief.
According to him, his style of leadership has contributed hugely to the development of the country and demands mentions.
Delivering his speech at the launching of the 20th Anniversary of the enstoolment of Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin II, at Ofori Panin fie at Kyebi on Friday 4th October 2019, the honorable minister accorded the king with a lot of accolades.
“Osagyefuo has made kingship attractive and that everyone wants to become a chief especially those in Akyem Abuakwa”, he said.

Hon. Kofi Dzamesi wasted no time to enumerate few of the successes chalked by the Kwaebibirem chief in his 20 years aof enstoolment as Okyenhene.
“In his tenure, he has initiated the greening program. Planting trees in restoring what is lost in the environment. He condemned illegal mining and the president, H.E. Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo embraced to protect the land. In his tenure, Okyeman has a university. In his tenure, a lot of roads are constructed. In his tenure, a majority of chieftaincy issues are resolved as well as peace and love established between Okyeman and Asateman.” He posited.
Above all, he said it is during the tenure of Osagyefuo that Ghana has a president from the Akyem land.
Hon. Kofi Dzamesi used the opportunity as a special guest to open the anniversary as the citizens are geared to celebrate the 20 years in peace. The theme for the 20 years anniversary is : Serving the People, innovating for the future! Even as Okyenhene has declared Okyeman for Christ in the last state council meeting.
The ocassion was graced by a host of dignitaries from traditional rulers, through clergies to government officials. Other corporate institutions like MTN Ghana wasn’t left out.
