The Abuakwa south municipal chief executive, Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo has appealed to the general public especially residents of Abuakwa south and its environs to patronise Bunso Ecopark formerly called Aboretum because it’s the perfect place to be.
According to the hardworking MCE, the excitement, fun and merry one would be exposed to at Bunso Ecopark is unprecedented since few tourist sites in the country can relate to.
He made these revelations in a phone interview on the susubiribi morning show when the host Nana Kwabena Addo asked why he visited and used the canopy walk at Bunso Ecopark.
“It was a very fantastic and exciting experience and as Bunso Ecopark is in Abuakwa south, I went to experience what really goes on there. Truly, Bunso Ecopark is a very perfect place for anybody around this area and it is easier to come here than to go through traffics in Accra for tourist sites” – Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo said.
Moreover, he said the assembly is committed to improving on the infrastructural development of the site so as to meet the international standards of tourist sites which would translate into generating income for the municipal assembly.

Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo, who looked too excited after his tour to the site, could not hide his appreciation to the paramount chief of Akyem Abuakwa traditional area, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin for bringing in investors to develop and promote Bunso Ecopark. That not alone, he aknowledged the efforts of the constituency member of Parliament and minister of works and housing, Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea to raising the standard of Bunso Ecopark.
Bunso Ecopark is one of the few tourist sites in the country where visitors are exposed to over 600 species of trees and their medicinal purposes. Visitors use the canopy walk, nature tour, and a host of benefits.
