Free SHS Is A Misplaced Priority – Akwasi Adei Odike

The founder and leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP) Akwasi Adei Odike has amazingly stated categorically without mincing words that the free SHS flagship policy initiated by the Akufo-Addo led NPP party is a misplaced priority.
According to him, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was expected to do the necessary before adopting the Free SHS campaign promise.
In an interview with Nana Kwabena Addo, the host of the susubiribi morning show on Radio 1 on Monday 11th November 2019, the vociferous politician alluded to the fact that Free SHS is good and believes no one would condemn it but not the right time. According to him, first thing first.
“Let me tell you. The president inhabited debt from the previous government and ought to have created jobs for the people before initiating freebies. A common sense would find any avenue to pay the debt inherited before giving freebies to the citizens. Free SHS is good but a misplaced priority”- Akwasi Adei Odike.

Again, Akwasi Adei Odike disclosed that the ruling party is focussed on poverty alleviation meanwhile the economy is handicapped.
