Radio 1’s on air inter basic school reading and spelling competition (Generations) in 2019 was climaxed at Asiakwa SOS on 28th November 2019.
The heated and very keen competition finally saw Tafo CRIG B basic school putting up with an amazing performance to be victors even as Asiakwa SOS were determined to have a host and win program.
Tafo CRIG B emerged victors with 100.5 points and Asiakwa SOS came second with 99.5 points while the 2nd runner up, Tafo CRIG A secured 94 points.
Tafo CRIG B took home a citation, certificates, stationery and a cash prize. This was sponsored by the Abuakwa south municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo.

Asiakwa SOS also took home certificates, stationery and an undisclosed cash which was also sponsored by Nana Daakyehene Kofi Asomaning of Asiakwa.
The third award which was also sponsored by Prophet Agyei Boateng of No Weapon and Prophetic Ministry, eventually went to Tafo CRIG A and it also comprised of Certificates, Stationery and an undisclosed amount.
Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo, MCE for Abuakwa South chaired the program, and was supported by Mrs Grace Owusua Addo, the Abuakwa south director of Education.

In attendance again were Ms Sylvia Arthur, CEO of Librarial Ghana, Mrs Vera Akuffo-Mante, municipal cordinating director for Abuakwa south, Agric Director – Abuakwa south, Head of Abuakwa south basic schools among other dignitaries.
