Abuakwa South: PWDs Weep With Joy As The Municipal Hands Over Substantial Items Worth GHS 110,250.44 To 59 Beneficiaries

Emotions rose, as Persons With Disability (PWDs) cried with joy at the forecourt of the municipal assembly of Abuakwa south in the Eastern region.
Beneficiaries were overwhelmed as they received the items worth GHS110,250.44 on Wednesday, 22nd January 2020
Addressing the members of the Abuakwa South Federation of Disables, the Municipal Chief Executive, MCE, Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo noted that all those who do not utilize the items very well might not be considered again in future since they would do routine check ups on them.
However, Hon. Kojo Ofori – Safo alerted that the 59 beneficiaries are those whose applications were approved by the Disability Fund Management Committee of the assembly.

He added that 43 people are supported with Economic, Business Ventures and Working Tools. Eight (8) persons with School fees and Training while 8 others are supported with Medical and Assistive Devices.

Unlike other days, the environment was great and joyous as everyone accepted in good faith and thanked the authorities and government for providing such appreciable equipments.
Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo assured those who are yet to receive their share that in due time, they would also be taken care of.
The Chairman of the federation also thanked the government and entreated him to do more.
