The National Youth Organiser for the largest opposition party in Ghana, the National Democratic Congress, George Opare Addo aka Pablo has described the Electoral Commission’s attempt to compile new voters register as fraud, an attempt to favour Akufo-Addo and get ‘Chobo’ from the exercise.

According to him, EC has no justification to conduct the said exercise since all the justifications are not convincing enough.

He made these revelations on Tuesday 27 the January 2020 on the susubiribi morning show on Radio 1 100.7fm when the host Nana Addo asked of his take on the new development on the new voter register.

Moreover, he added that EC cannot do a comprehensive register because after 43 days, EC cannot register more than 43 million people and will disenfranchise about 4 million people who just attained 18years.

“It’s a fraud. It is either EC wants to compile new register to favour Akufo-Addo or someone wants to take his chobo because facial recognition is not organic, it’s inorganic” – George Opare Addo

That not alone, he alluded that time is not a friend to the political parties for EC to compile a new register.

The vociferous NDC National executive cannot believe why EC is still insisting on compiling the new register.

“It can also be that someone wants to take ‘chobo’ that’s why they are resisting” – He added.

He also accused Jean Mensah and Bossman Asare for being in beds with the NPP government. He revealed that Bossman Asare was once a TESCON patron at university of Ghana and Jean Mensah a relative of the first lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
